One of the most popular reasons for staying with us at the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center—and trust us, there are many good reasons!—is our close proximity to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. If you are attending a convention at Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, there are many reasons you should stay with us—it will save you the headache of traveling to the convention, you can easily stop by your room between meetings, you can stay with our hotel as part of a large group attending the convention together, and our staff is incredibly familiar with the Convention Center and New Orleans.  We host many groups, from international food organizations to religious groups to weddings, and do all we can to make it an enjoyable stay for your special group.

When you stay with us for a convention, you are literally a block from the Convention Center. It is not only walking distance, it is within eyesight of our front doors—well, there’s an amazing historical building called the Sugar Mill directly in between our building and the Convention Center, but if you look through that the Convention Center is right there. We have valet and parking garage, so you do not need to worry about parking a car at the Convention Center because you can conveniently keep it here at the hotel. Moreover, if you don’t want to rent a car, you won’t have to in order to easily move from the Convention Center to your hotel.

If you’d like to get a little flavor of the surrounding area beyond the Convention Center, the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center is nestled in the vibrant Arts & Warehouse District. This neighborhood contains fabulous restaurants (Cochon, anyone? The new Root, which opened this past year to stellar reviews? How about Emeril’s?), the National World War II Museum, New Orleans’ Contemporary Arts’ Center, and over 25 art galleries. The famous music venue, the Howlin’ Wolf, is also close to our hotel—you can see live music played there every night of the week.

The Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center is also walking distance to the French Quarter (which is farther away, about a 20 minute walk or a five minute cab ride), where Bourbon Street, Jackson Square and many traditional New Orleans tourist sites are located. If you’d like to see the beautiful mansions along Saint Charles Avenue, that’s easy—just hop on the streetcar at Lee Circle, which is a few blocks up the road from our front doors, and enjoy viewing the Garden District while riding the United States’ only mobile historic site. In terms of distance, New Orleans is not a large city, and the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center is positioned in the heart of it. Our spectacular locations makes whole city readily accessible to you.

But if you’re here for more work than play at your convention, no problem—please let our Front Desk know and we can do everything we can to help you, whether it’s storing items you need for a presentation, helping transport your things down the block to the Convention Center, or just making sure you get to that important meeting on time by giving you a wake-up call. After all, here at the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center, we want to ensure that everything is right where you need it.
