Enjoy Free Music Nearby at Lafayette Square
It’s 4:30 p.m. on a Wednesday afternoon. New Orleanians across the city ask each other the same question:
“Are you going to Lafayette Square?”
Every Wednesday, crowds gather in Lafayette Square for Harvest the Music. The free concert series features a promising line-up, as well as famous local food vendors and artists, and Lafayette Square is just blocks away from the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center. All proceeds from food and beverages sales go to the Second Harvest Food Bank, which fights hunger across 23 southern Louisiana parishes. Like its summer sister Wednesdays at the Square, the concert series has become the major event of locals’ weekday calendar.

To attend Harvest the Music, just head to Lafayette Square, located between the 500 and 600 blocks of Camp Street and St. Charles Avenue. The concerts take place from 5:00-7:30p.m. Lafayette Square is. For more information, visit Harvest the Music’s website at http://harvestthemusic.org/.
